Windswept

It's nearly been a week since my last post! Damn assignments... only one more week to go now. I wore this today to go to lunch with family. It was really cold and windy, hence the crazy windswept hair. I made a big Forever 21 order a week or so ago with my sister and her friend and love everything I received, including the skirt and cropped jacket I'm wearing here.

P.S. Hello to the Primo girl who recognised me today!

P.S.S. Please vote for me in the Chictopia ModCloth vintage-inspired contest by adding my photo to your favourites!

Luella

I read on Vogue last week that Luella has 'ceased trading' as the label's current backer has pulled out and they don't have another lined up. It's disconcerting that that yet another strong, inspiring designer has fallen under the pressure of the current economy. I really adored Luella's SS '10 collection and, personally, hope someone will come to the rescue and it won't be the last we see of her.

On the bright side, everything is currently up to 50% off on luella.com. Sadly, even at half price I can't afford to splash out on a piece at the moment, so have settled with this inspired Topshop version of the blouse.

Regarding the Bronx 'Shani' wedges: how do you get the laces to stay done up? Mine come undone almost straight away because of the stiff ties.

Alexandra Agoston in "Wild Thing" for Harper's Bazaar

Words can't express how much I love this editorial, it makes me smile every time I flick through the pictures. The third image is the best editorial photo I've EVER seen... is it wrong that I want a fluffy-eared hood to call my own? As soon as I finish my course I'll be donning one of those and cartwheeling into the woods, possibly never to be seen again.

Ending soon on eBay

I guess the Christmas rush hasn't kicked in yet because eBay has been very slow recently. I haven't made a sale or gotten a bid in a week and a half! I have about twenty items listed right now, due to end in 5-7 hours. Please take a look and bid if you see anything you like! I've found some great eBay and Etsy finds that I'll share with you soon.

Sretsis: it's all in the details

Recently I had my eyes opened to the wonderful, cheeky, feminine designs of Sretsis. Their last few collections, School of Rebellious Sweethearts (SS '09) and Metamorphosis (AW '09), have been absolutely stunning. Sretsis have also just released their SS '10 collection, Make My Heart Melt, which is well worth a look.

My favourite pieces from the SS '09 collection are the Bow Blouse and Double Bow dress. I just can't resist the lace ruffles, subtle stripes and beaded bow detail!

From the Sretsis Metamorphosis collection, the stand out pieces for me are the gorgeous Diamond Organza skirt (shown in full-on rainbow print and black sketch diamond print), Kiki Velvet dress and the Lala Ruffle skirt in faded rose.
